During the 4th-year Industry Immersion phase, students who choose not to stay on campus are exempt from paying hostel fees for that period.

Candidates who have demonstrated exceptional academic performance, Aptitude, Extracurricular Achievements etc.

Need-Based Scholarship

Need-based scholarships are awarded based on a combination of academic merit and financial need, providing support to students facing genuine financial challenges.

Eligibility Criteria

The evaluation criteria for need-based scholarships include a merit-based score and a financial need score.

While registering for NSET, make sure you fill the detailed profile form on the dashboard with all academic and financial details. This will form the basis of the amount of scholarship being given to you.

Merit-Based Scholarships will be granted to students who exhibit exceptional achievements in any of the following areas.

IIT Madras offers a Bachelor of Science (BS) program in Data Science and Applications, designed to equip students with cutting-edge programming and data science skills, enabling them to excel in the technology sector. Please note that this BS program is not offered on IIT-Madras campus.

About This Degree

This degree program operates independently and Scaler School of Technology (SST) students can apply to and pursue this degree in parallel at SST’s Undergraduate program campus in Bangalore . The IIT Madras degree is awarded separately, and admission to the degree program is solely at the discretion of IIT Madras. Students must meet all requirements set by IIT Madras to earn this degree. The BS in Data Science and Applications, offered by IIT Madras, is an official degree approved by the Senate of IIT Madras, which has the power to award degrees as per The Institutes of Technology Act, 1961. Hence, this degree would meet the requirement of any study or job that accepts a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree.
